Self Acting Underfloor Heating Valve for areas up to 15m²

FHV control valves are ideally suited to the temperature control of individual underfloor heated rooms and for systems using floor-heating in conjunction with radiators.

Danfoss produce a range of self-acting controls which are simple to install. The product, which comprises a valve enclosure which is built into a wall or partition, a valve, a facia plate and a sensor, is available in a version which controls return water temperature, type FHVR.

FHV-R Return Temperature Controller - The FHV-R valve utilises an FJVR return temperature limiter sensor which controls the temperature of the water leaving the floor heating circuit. As there is a good correlation between water and floor temperature, the FHV-R solution also ensures a warm floor is maintained. The FHV-R solution is ideal for use in systems operating at normal flow and return temperatures (70-80°C) and provides the perfect solution for areas with high heat gains such as conservatories. A mixing valve is not needed with this type of control.

Connections: Eurocone 3/4" BSP (no fittings supplied).  Please see "Related" tab for fittings.

An FJVR sensor is required for new installations

  • Any valve can fail. If it is not passing when the sensor is removed, then it will probably need replacing.
  • When the return temperature is above the set temperature, all flow will stop.
  • The system using this valve can use the flow and return supply of the radiator. See the "Downloads" tab for the instructions.
  • Yes, please see the Eurocone Fittings under the related tab. We stock them for several different types of pipe.
  • The 003L1014AA or 003L1013AA can be used where you do not wish to install it in the wall, however the sensor must still be installed on the valve itself.
